INSTRUCTOR

Originally from Brazil, Laura just graduated from Joffrey Ballet School on merit scholarship. She worked with choreographers such as Greg Lau, Yoshito Sakuraba, Antonia Franceschi and Yin Yue. She was a company member and Rehearsal Assistant with Joffrey Ballet Concert Group for two seasons. Laura spent the summer with Nederlands Danae Theater , Orsolina28, Hubbard Street Chicago, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham and GALLIM. Performed Works by Crystal Pite, Jiri Kyliam and Hofesh Shelter; And was invited to perform with the cast of “Hamilton” at the Playbill Broadway Pride event by Thayne Jasperson. In comercial work Laura was part of Amazon prime’s unveiling video with Maleek Washington, main dancer in Vogue’s fall editorial 2021, Pantene curly campaign, and SohoHouse New York Fashion Week. She also had her choreographer debut at ArtBath NYC in collaboration with Bradley Shelver, whom she also assisted for his new work at Graham II. Laura is excited for her first season with Visceral Dance Chicago.
